Arthritis Research UK is supporting the development of TOKA: A High Precision Patient Specific High Tibial Osteotomy Procedure at the University of Bath, working with the Royal Exeter and Devon Hospital and 3D Metal Printing Ltd, a additive manufacturing engineering company based at the Innovation Centre University of Bath. Researchers, led by Professor of Healthcare Engineering Richie Gill, Doctor Andrew Toms, and Mr Alberto Casonato believe by exploiting advances in imaging techniques and 3D printing they can offer an accessible, alternative surgery to treat early stage knee osteoarthritis.
